Hiking hotel near the Dolomites, close to trails and mountain huts

Looking for the perfect hiking hotel near the Dolomites? If you want more from your holiday in Trentino than a convenient starting point for the trails, look no further than the Trevini.
Our varied weekly programme takes you out into Stelvio National Park and Adamello Brenta Nature Park, with a range of guided hikes and trekking routes at every altitude in Val di Sole and beyond. There are also via ferrata adventures and family-friendly hikes to choose from. So, where will today take you?

CIRCULAR HIKES.
HIGH-ALTITUDE LAKES.
MOUNTAIN HUTS WITH VIEWS OF THE DOLOMITES.
One of the best things about a stay at our hiking hotel near the Dolomites is the sheer choice of nearby trails. An extensive network of routes runs through Adamello Brenta Nature Park, while other trails lead towards the Cevedale and Haselgruber Lakes in Stelvio National Park.
And the valley’s mountain huts are not to be missed either: Rifugio Larcher, Rifugio Denza, Rifugio Dorigoni, and Rifugio Vioz, the highest mountain hut in Trentino.

A FRONT HIGH IN THE MOUNTAINS.
STEEL CABLES AND TRACES OF HISTORY.
GLACIER VIEWS AT 3,160 METRES ABOVE SEA LEVEL.
Just a 30-minute drive from the Tevini Resort, the Sentiero dei Fiori via ferrata begins at Passo Tonale and follows part of the Alpine front of the First World War up to the 3,160-metre-high Corno di Lago Scuro. But if you’re on a hiking holiday near the Dolomites and wish to immerse yourself in history without tackling the via ferrata, you have various other options. The tunnel at Passo Paradiso, the Museo della Guerra Bianca in Vermiglio, the Museo Pejo 1914–1918, and the Forte Strino all tell the story of the mountain front and are easier to reach.

Waterfalls, lakes, and hiking trails for the whole family
Not every hike in Val di Sole calls for serious stamina. Families staying at our walking hotel in Trentino have plenty of gentler routes to choose from, including:
- the walk to the Saent Waterfalls and their striking suspension bridge in the Stelvio National Park
- trails to Lago dei Caprioli and Lago delle Malghette, close to some of the region’s best-known photo spots
- the Sentiero dei larici secolari (trail of the centuries-old larches), which winds past ancient, majestic trees
- the route to Malga Talé, around 50 minutes from Peio, where you’ll find a visitor centre dedicated to Alpine wildlife

Nordic walking and the Trentino Guest Card:
Close to the Tevini Resort, the Val di Sole Nordic Walking route is made up of 3- to 4- kilometre sections around different villages in the valley. The complimentary Trentino Guest Card allows free use of the Pejo 3000, Daolasa, and Tonale cable cars. And you can also hire walking poles and a full range of hiking gear right from the hotel. In short, you have everything you need to make the most of your walking holiday near the Dolomites.
Our hiking tips: something for everyone
Planning a walk with the family or heading into the mountains for the first time? Start with one of the easier routes, such as the trail to Lago dei Caprioli, close to our walking hotel in Trentino. Or if history is what draws you into the mountains, explore the First World War museums or take on the Sentiero dei Fiori via ferrata to discover more about the Alpine Front. And for experienced hikers looking for a real challenge, there’s the ascent to Rifugio Vioz, the highest mountain hut in Trentino.
